Ministry Without Hating It

#26: The Sacredness of Shepherding | Hard Knocks of Real Humility feat. Suzie Genin

Chad Garrison, Brenton Hill & Dustin Black Season 3 Episode 26

What’s the biggest obstacle a leader will face within ministry? Recognizing that it’s, “Not about you.” In this episode, Pastor Suzie Genin gets real (and has fun) with her journey of learning humility the hard way, becoming equipped as you equip others, and seeing every invited opportunity to minister as sacred…and also calling out Chad’s questionable, past fashion choices. We hit it all in this one, so fire it up!

Guest Bio:
Suzie Genin is an energetic speaker who is passionate about her family and her community. Possessing a courageous ability to lead through vulnerability as she preaches and teaches the word, she desires for people to awaken to the truth found in Jesus and who He has created them to be. Known for her quirky boldness, Suzie is always ready to have fun and keeping it real while listening to the still small voice in the midst of life.

Born and raised in California, Suzie moved to Madison, WI 19 years ago with her husband Jeremiah. From the onset of their relationship they have served together in ministry in various capacities. While this has never been their intention, they have enjoyed the journey and the privilege of leading side-by-side. In September 2015, they became the Senior Pastors of Chapel Valley Church. Beyond her pastoral duties, Suzie serves as a chaplain in her city and loves providing spiritual support and comfort beyond the church walls.

Suzie and her husband, Jeremiah, have been married for 20 years and have three beautiful children Micah, Samantha, and Isaac.
